Portrait of Nihal

Hi, I'm Nihal. I build in the dark, ship into the light.

Backend engineer turning complex distributed systems and AI ideas into simple, reliable software.

I'm Nihal, a backend engineer who enjoys turning complex problems into simple, reliable systems. I'm drawn to the intersection of software engineering, distributed systems, and AI, building things, breaking them, and understanding what makes them work at scale.
I spend a lot of my time solving problems with data structures and algorithms, experimenting with new technologies, and turning ideas into projects. I'm always curious about how things work under the hood and looking for the next difficult problem worth solving.

Docker : A tool every dev should know about

Docker allows us to package an application along with the things it needs to run, instead of manually installing everything on every machine, we can define the environment once, then someone else can run the same environment on their machine.

Redis: From Caching to In-Memory Data Structures

Redis is one of the most popular data stores used for caching. But Redis is not just a cache. It is an in-memory data structure store that can be used for caching, sessions, queues, counters, leaderboards, rate limiting and many other use cases.
